I was trimming and weeding outside.
I trimmed the huge hydrangeas
away from the house
(It's a superhighway for insect infestation to have shrubbery rubbing up against the house.
I learned that on DIY network.)
I stopped to make a still-life
in the midst of my yard work.
And OF COURSE I had to take photos...
I think I have finally figured out

The camera was set on the floor on automatic shutter release
with 12-second delay, just enough time to pick up ZuZu!
The camera goes "Beep! Beep! Beep!" just before the automatic shutter capture, so it captured ZuZu's interest just before capturing the pic.

It bugs me how often I have great photos from the previous days that would be excellent for the theme of the current day. But I always take the daily photo ON THE DAY and I refuse to check ahead to make sure it won't happen. Part of the challenge, I guess.
