I know it is for the best. They could not socialize, and they simply don't enjoy people, always remaining wary and hidden when the volunteers came to visit. But I always hoped maybe someday they would learn to trust us. I always loved catching sight of their pretty little faces. I will miss them, Harper Lee, especially.
