My girly-girl dusky traipse tonight is 

dedicated to the color PINK

{Solo as ever, and distant, of course} 

I was surprised by the number 

of pink flowers blooming around

and delighted by the sky effects at sundown

Sunday May 24: Dedicated to the color BLACK

My secret agent socially solo, 

physically distant skulk around Sunday

is dedicated to the color BLACK

I felt sort of ominous in my shades 

and men-in-black colored clothing

even while carrying a BEANBAG kitty 

to some, black suggests an aura of mystery, of stealth

"Black as night", "black-hearted"

Cat burglars. Black cats and witches. 

But musicians wear black, 

backstage tech crew wear black, 

ushers wear black 

I ushered on Broadway and Lincoln Center for decades. 

My professional clothes were black black black. 

And then there's Black Tie 
Oooh, so, classy and classic.

May 23: Dedicated to the color BROWN

My mad dogs and Englishmen go out 
in the mid-day sun non-run

 (solo except for Alf, and distant as usual)

is dedicated to the color BROWN

I wasn't looking forward to featuring brown

it felt too easy 

and oh,so mundane

but I was astounded, astonished 

at how much beauty I found 

when I simply looked closer

Especially at the things sort of "past their prime" to my mind-set 

dried grass, "dead" leaves 

 but on thinking deeper

 imagine the tiny micro-organisms 

feasting, growing, living in decay 

in the scheme of things

orange-you-glad I'm not too obsessive 

venture around town today 

is dedicated

May 21: Dedicated to the color PURPLE

My socially solo and physically distant 

hour-plus seeking the color of the day walk 

this afternoon is dedicated to PURPLE

Lilac, lavender, regal, royal

a challenging color to locate! 

When I saw my first musical, 

it was a high school production of BRIGADOON

I fell in love with the purple lighting for the duet 

"Heather on the Hill". 

My sister Suzy's favorite color, 

my best friend next door, Rebecca's favorite color, 

 my friend Alice's favorite color

most folks who love purple best
