HONESTLY, I prefer the art inspired by this classic to the novel itself
If you want to read Oscar Wilde, I suggest THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, a play. Even better go see a live production. This is his masterpiece, in my opinion.
Oscar Wilde had a relatively short life. Celebrated for his wit, then jailed for his sexuality, he never recovered.
