Annapolis Striders' Father's Day 10K

It was HOT HOT HOT and HUMID. I did a pretty moderate 10k, and followed it with more miles long slow distance (EMPHASIZE the SLOW part) to get in 20 miles total for the day. I am OFFICIALLY on taper for Calgary Marathon.

Thank the stars above!!!!!!

Great job on racing and then still running MORE to get in that last, really long marathon training run.

Remember Snoopy's happy dance to the tune of "Dinnertime"? I'm now doing it to the sound of "Tapertime" :)

2 weeks from TOMORROW I get to pick you up at the airport. Woohoo!

Enjoy your taper. Stay hydrated and try not to go nutz! I'm looking forward to hearing about your marathon.

I can't wait to hear about the marathon. My husband is thinking about that one for next year, so give us details!

congratulations! What kind of camera do you use that allows you to run and shoot? And thanks for the comment on the DCRR! Now I don't feel quite so bad being last! I didn't realize they have a reputation. I do now!

I think I need a new group...I'd love to know what you think about some of the other ones around here (mccannjl AT mindspring.com)

and yay on that 20 miler!
