A friend of mine showed me this on YouTube:

"I Will Follow You Into The Dark"
Love of mine, some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark.
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
"Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went back
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied.
You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
Cause we'll hold each other soon
The blackest of blues
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied.

"from Bangkok to Calgary"
I haven't been to Bangkok yet. Have you?
The lyrics are so dark, but the tune and the video are charming and full of love.
Actually, I HAVE been to Bangkok.
I went on one of those 30-day tours with a group. Mostly spent the time in Japan; it was during Expo '70, the World's Fair. I was 15 years old, & went with my sister Penny, who had just graduated from Bennington college in Vermont. She stayed in Japan for 2 years, while I flew on home for high school.
I'm so sorry to hear about losing your sister. It sounds like she was a wonderful person and woman who will be greatly missed by everyone she encountered.
The truth is much more difficult and complex than that, but I loved her.
I will always love her.
