My socially solo, physically distant
energized trot tonight is dedicated to theme parks.
Disney World, Disneyland,
Hershey Park, Six Flags,
Busch Gardens, Wally World (ha-ha-ha),
Adventureland, Playland, Universal...
Thinking of all the people out of work while they remain closed:
in the gift shops, running the rides,
marching in the parades, setting off the fireworks,
manning the restaurants, cleaning, repairing,
being the characters...
And all the vacationers, destination wedders, thrill seekers, honeymooners, family reunioners,
just plain folks who'd like to be out there
having a fun time but who can't be out there having a fun time.
Hang tight.
This won't go on forever.
