DC Christmas Lights Run

FIVE GOLDEN RINGS...

Imagine 200-300 runners in Santa Hats, carrolling and dashing through the streets of Washington DC to view the holiday lights.

Amazing, wonderful. I have always desired a run like that in a Xmas time night "enveloped" by all those lights in a magic atmosphere.

It was so energizing! There were pace groups, so people wouldn't get lost, and there were "carrolling stops" where all the runners would gather to sing Christmas songs - once in front of the huge White House Christmas tree, once grouped in a circle around another smaller one - The Blue Christmas Tree - that was entirely decorated with ornaments from the families of police officers who had been killed in the line of duty.
A totally unique run!
